Woven Patches Crafted for the USA Market
We produce high-quality woven patches for clients across the USA who need clean detail and a refined finish. Our process uses fine threads to capture small text, sharp edges, and complex designs with accuracy. Brands, sports teams, military units, and apparel businesses rely on us for consistent results and reliable delivery. We manage everything from design preparation to final production, so you receive durable patches that maintain their look over time.
Why Woven Patches Outperform Embroidered - For the Details That Matter
Most patches look fine from a distance. Woven patches look exceptional up close and that difference is what separates a patch people notice from one they forget.
Woven patches are created using fine, flat threads woven directly into a base fabric, similar to how a dollar bill is printed rather than painted. The result is razor-sharp edges, legible text as small as 4pt, and accurate color matching across hundreds of thread shades – without the raised, textured look of embroidery
Every Type of Woven Patch We Craft - Find the Right Fit for Your Project
Not every patch serves the same purpose. Whether you need ultra-thin patches for high-end apparel or rugged patches for tactical gear, there’s a woven style built for it. Here’s a breakdown of the most popular types:

Standard Woven Patches
The classic choice for uniforms, team apparel, and brand merchandise. Flat weave, clean edges, durable construction. Available in any size from 1" to 12" with merrowed, laser-cut, or folded borders. Best for: corporate branding, sports teams, event staff and school groups.

Damask Woven Patches
Damask weaving uses ultra-fine thread counts to reproduce intricate detail, color gradients, and photographic-quality imagery. If your design includes fine text under 6pt, detailed shading, or complex multi-color artwork, damask is the standard. Best for: military insignia and law enforcement badges.

Twill Woven Patches
A diagonal weave pattern that produces a subtle texture and adds depth. Slightly thicker than standard flat weave. Twill patches have excellent color saturation and a premium hand-feel that works beautifully on denim, canvas, and workwear. Best for denim jackets, Americana brands, motorcycle clubs, streetwear labels.

Woven Labels (Clothing Labels)
Structurally identical to woven patches but finished for interior garment use, softer backing, folded edges, and heat-resistant materials. Used as brand labels, care instruction labels, or size tags woven directly into finished garments. Best for: fashion brands, independent clothing designers, and uniform manufacturers.

Glow-in-the-Dark Patches
Glow-in-the-dark patches absorb light and emit a bright glow - popular for kids' gear, outdoor brands, and novelty merchandise. Reflective woven patches use light-reactive threads for high-visibility safety applications. Best for: outdoor apparel, safety vests, children's products, military and emergency services.

Die-Cut Custom Shape Patches
Rather than a standard rectangle or circle, die-cut patches are laser-trimmed to precisely follow the outline of your design - a star, a shield, an animal silhouette, a state outline, or any custom shape. Best for: collector series patches, branded merchandise, mascots and custom insignia.
Design Your Own Custom Woven Patch - You Control Every Detail
Creating a custom woven patch doesn’t require a design degree or a minimum order. Our online customization process is built for everyone. Here’s how the design process works, and what you can control at every step:
Coverage is the percentage of your patch’s surface area filled with woven thread. This single choice shapes the look, feel, and cost of your patch:

50% Coverage
The base fabric shows through, creating a lighter, more textured look. Excellent for text-heavy designs, simple logos, and patches where background fabric texture adds to the aesthetic. Most budget-friendly option.

75% Coverage
The most popular option. 75% thread coverage creates a striking, richly detailed surface with visible texture depth. Balances exceptional visual quality with cost efficiency. Works for nearly every design type.

100% Coverage
Full surface weave with no visible base fabric. Colors are the most vibrant and accurate at 100%, replicating your design as faithfully as thread can achieve. Ideal for photographic designs, complex artwork, and premium applications.
How your patch attaches to the garment or surface determines which backing you need:

Iron-On
Heat-activated adhesive. Press with a household iron for instant, secure attachment. Perfect for jackets, jeans, bags, and everyday apparel.

Plastic / Pin Back
Classic pin-mount backing for hats, lapels, bags, and display boards. Great for clubs, events, and collectibles.

Velcro / Hook & Loop
Industry-standard hook-and-loop backing for tactical gear, military uniforms, and modular setups. Swap patches in seconds

Peel & Stick
Temporary pressure-sensitive adhesive for events, promotional campaigns, and short-term use without permanent commitment.
Base materials include standard polyester twill (most common), cotton twill (softer feel), nylon (lightweight, water-resistant), and felt (vintage aesthetic). Border finishes include:

Merrowed Border
A classic overlock stitch around the border - the standard finish for most patches. Available in any thread color.

Die-Cut Custom Shape
Laser-trimmed to follow your artwork's silhouette exactly. Available on most woven patch types.

Laser Cut Border
A precisely laser-cut edge with a sealed, heat-fused border. Creates a clean, modern look without the raised merrowed edge.

Folded Edge Border
The patch edge is folded and stitched to the reverse - used for clothing labels and patches that require a smooth perimeter on both sides.
Once your selections are made, upload your artwork and submit. Our team will generate a digital proof within 24 hours – showing your exact design at your chosen coverage, backing, material, and border. Approve it, and production begins. No surprises.
What Our Customers Are Saying About Our Woven Patches
We’ve shipped custom woven patches to military units, Fortune 500 companies, streetwear brands, Boy Scout troops, sports franchises, and everyone in between. Here’s what a few of them had to say:
“We ordered unit morale patches for our whole battalion - 800 pieces. The detail on the insignia was sharper than anything we'd gotten from our previous supplier. Delivered on time, packaged right. We're not going anywhere else.”
“We're picky about our club patches - they represent who we are. From the first proof to final delivery, everything was exactly what we asked for. The colors popped, the edges were clean, and the hook-and-loop backing held through a full riding season.”
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a woven patch, and how is it different from an embroidered patch?
A woven patch is made by interlacing fine threads on a loom to reproduce your design across the patch surface, similar to how fabric itself is manufactured. An embroidered patch uses thicker thread stitched on top of a base material, creating a raised, textured finish. Woven patches are flatter, lighter, and capable of reproducing significantly finer detail – including small text, color gradients, and photographic complexity that embroidery thread cannot accurately replicate.
What's the minimum order quantity for custom woven patches?
We accept orders starting at 25 pieces for standard woven patches. For specialty types such as damask patches, die-cut shapes, or reflective thread patches, minimums may vary by 50–100 pieces depending on production setup. There is no maximum – we regularly fulfill orders of 50,000+ patches for large organizations and corporations.
How much do custom woven patches cost?
Pricing depends on patch size, thread coverage (50%, 75%, or 100%), backing type, border style, and order quantity. As a general benchmark, standard 2-inch woven patches start around $0.85–$1.50 per piece at 100 units, with significant per-unit price reductions at 500, 1,000, and 5,000 units. Submitting a quote request with your artwork and specs will generate an accurate, no-obligation price within 24 hours.
Can you match my brand's exact Pantone colors?
Yes. We reference Pantone thread color charts during production and can match most brand color standards accurately. When submitting your artwork, include your Pantone (PMS) color codes and our design team will reference them in the proof. It’s important to note that woven threads cannot produce every possible Pantone shade – our team will flag any color that requires an approved substitution before production begins.
What artwork file formats do you accept?
We accept vector files (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) and high-resolution raster files (PNG or JPG at minimum 300 DPI at production size). Vector files produce the cleanest results. If you only have a low-resolution logo, our art team can evaluate it and advise on whether it’s suitable for production – this artwork review is provided at no charge. We do not charge artwork conversion fees.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Standard production time is 7–10 business days from proof approval. Rush production (3–5 business days) is available for an additional fee and subject to production schedule availability. Shipping within the United States via USPS, UPS, or FedEx takes 2–5 business days depending on your location. We ship from facilities serving all 50 states.
Do I get to see a proof before my patches are produced?
Yes, always. A digital color proof is generated for every order before production begins. This proof shows your exact design at your chosen size, coverage, and thread colors. You must approve the proof before production starts. Physical pre-production samples are available on request – typically at a small sample fee, which is credited toward your final order.
Are your woven patches washable and durable?
Yes. Standard woven patches are machine-washable and rated for regular domestic and commercial laundering. We recommend washing on a cool-to-warm cycle (not exceeding 140°F / 60°C) and tumble drying on low. Iron-on backings are heat-activated and wash-stable. For maximum longevity on frequently washed garments such as uniforms and workwear, sew-on backing provides the most permanent attachment.
Can you replicate fine text, small logos, or complex designs?
Yes – this is one of the primary advantages of woven patches over embroidery. Woven production can reproduce text as small as 4pt and design elements under 1mm with reasonable clarity, especially on damask patches which use the finest thread counts. We recommend sharing your artwork for a design evaluation before ordering if your design includes very fine text or intricate linework – our team will advise on the minimum patch size to faithfully reproduce your design.
What backing type should I choose for military or tactical applications?
For military, law enforcement, and tactical applications, hook and loop (Velcro) backing is the industry standard – it allows patches to be quickly attached, removed, and repositioned across different uniforms and gear. Many units use patches with hook backing directly on velcro-panel uniforms and vests. For permanent badge or uniform attachment, sew-on backing provides the most durable long-term bond.
Do you ship to all US states?
Yes – we ship to all 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii, as well as US territories. International shipping to Canada, the UK, and Australia is also available. Free shipping applies to domestic orders over $150.
Can woven patches be used for resale or retail merchandise?
Absolutely. Woven patches are widely used in retail merchandise, apparel drops, streetwear collections, collector series, souvenir products, and branded promotional items. We can provide bulk pricing for resellers and wholesalers, and do not require exclusivity agreements. If you need unbranded or white-label packaging for retail use, that can also be arranged.
